My wife had a freind who had just retuirned from Costa Rica and raved about her trip. Since we were due for a belated honeymoon we thought that a trip to Costa Rica would be perfect.
I started exploring our options by purchasing the Lonely Planet guide to Costa Rica and then moved on to exploring the Costa Rica travel forums on Trip Advisor and Lonely Planet as well as google searches.
Since we had enough frequent flyer miles we could fly for free and the relatively low expense of food, drink, accomodations, etc. sealed the deal.
